Green Action Day

All this waste, we have to ban it, if we want to save our planet!

On Saturday 21st March we had a Green Action Day, where teachers, parents, grandparents and children volunteered to come into school to finish all the work that had been started. There was a great turn out. People came for as long as was possible. All the rubble from the digging the flowerbeds was cleared from the back yard, a new flowerbed was dug, the sunflowers and beans were all transplanted from pots into flowerbeds, 2 skips were filled, and the painting of the back wall was more or less finished. We started at 11am and finished at 4.15pm with a break for a yummy lunch of bean stew, vegetable soup, lasagne and crusty bread. This day of action really helped to move our project along. Many, many thanks to all who volunteered, there were so many that I'm afraid if I start naming names that someone will be left out!

Have a look at some of the workers!
