News update

• In Art we have been making clay faces. We rolled the clay out and made the eyes and the nose. Then we painted them and put them on display.

• In Maths we have been learning about place value. Place value means understanding what thousands, hundreds, tens and units are.

• In English we have been writing recounts, we even typed them out on our new laptops.

• In class we are reading ‘Gulliver Travels’. It’s a really good story about a Giant who comes to the land of tiny people.

• In Music we learned a new song called ’Tue Tue Barima’. It’s an old African song.

• In Irish we played a matching game to help us learn and remember the words.

• We have a ‘Wall of Rhythm’. The teacher claps out one of the rhythms and we have to guess which one it is.

• Mark is starting his own cartoon ‘Florrie Street’. Set in a small street of terraced houses in Dublin.

• In Science we have been working in groups. We played games in teams. Everybody had fun learning about our reflexes and used a ruler to test our nerves.
